All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
There was plenty of space for either the over or under route to work. The problem was they weren't on same page.

So the answer is to throw it into the middle of the two? Fitz has to read the coverage and know where McCourty is, and Graham has to know the coverage and know what the route is supposed to be. Fitz never saw McCourty and Graham didn't understand the coverage. Again it was a bad throw, a bad decision, and a bad route.
Moneyline was huge on this game, I mean huge. A buddy of mine had one combo for short money that would of paid fortune of this came through, he pegged everything else & actually hit everything but this. I told him that the Bills would win 37-34 & he followed along, so I'm indirectly responsible for that loss.

In this rare instance, the throw was spot on but Fitz needed to confirm how deep the WR was before he tossed that rock.

Pace and placement wise sure, but he still failed to ID the defender and there was no communication about which cut Graham is making. Even in a shallower cut McCoutry still has a shot to break on that ball. Fitz literally never sees him.
COMING SOON...

It's hard to confirm before throwing in the NFL, have to anticipate the throw. How dumb is Graham though, where is he going to go with that route? You have to use your head, and he didn't.
Targeting Graham is just a bad idea, can't run a route, is small so it's harder for him to shield a DB when going over the middle like he did. Sal posted an image on the underneath coverage, Fitz had Spiller for a 5 yard gain at the minimum.
According to Gailey, Graham has to option to cut it up or take it deeper, depending on the depth of the coverage, from this pic, it looks like he made the right choice, if he would of cut it up there were 2 LB's right near the goal line.

With the undercut you're pointing out, Graham is tackled in the field of play. No Timeouts. You'll have the ball at the 2 yard line with about 20 seconds left. Johnson was wide open on this play on the top too in the end zone, btw.

Exactly. Which means it was a miscommunication or not on same page. NOT a bad throw...
It's really the part that hurts the most, we could of failed to score with all the time left & tried again. I usually wonder why the team doesn't recognize the position we're in and try again, Fitz threw it into the ground based on a hot read failure previously but decided to try and overcome a position mismatch at that moment.
