BBD: Tyler Wilson Scouting Notes (v. South Carolina)

    http://www.buffalobillsdraft.com/201...na-v-arkansas/

    QB Tyler Wilson 8
-Goes through projections from pocket and makes sidearm throw under pressure to check down
    ...
Overview: Wilson had some good moments and not some good moments, I don’t believe for a second that he’s close to healthy but he’s gutting it out. Ive said it before and I still believe it Tyler Wilson may have the most...
Also notes on WR Cobi Hamilton, and SAF DJ Swearinger who I'd consider to be other potential targets.
    COMING SOON...

    Good read.

Wilson can be such a tease, looks fantastic a for stretch, and then stinks it up with poor reads and mechanics. His OL is such garbage, but he keeps his eyes down field, doesn't drop eye level, and tries to make throws. Just need to reign him in a little bit, in the right hands he's got a shot at being a good one.

Wilson's another mediocre looking prospect to me. Too many questionable plays. And not enough play making overall.

Going to have disagree with you there a good bit. Nothing mediocre about this kid.

I agree. These unimpressive performers in college tend to not pan out at the next level. Nothing about him screams fanchise QB to me. I'll pass.

Which unimpressive performances are you referencing?

I remember X-Era talking up Gabbert predraft.

How you watched Gabbert in college, with his terrible pocket presence and tendency to drop his eyes at the first sign or pressure, and came away with positive feelings I'll never understand, didn't at the time. Wilson is so much better than Gabbert, night and day if you ask me. Not saying much. I think he's worth a look in the top of the second, but he may go earlier than that.
