The arguments about biblical evidence and Chuch endorsed pedophilia may highlight a sense of hypocrisy, however they're really false equivalencies and take away from the real problem here.
The real problem is the value judgment about homosexuality.
even more so... rationalizing that judgment away with a "learn to love in spite of" meme is nothing more than self-righteous condescending drivel.

surprised the Latino opposition is so low. I'm not surprised at all by the numbers on African Americans. With the gay marriage ballot issue in MD, many of the urban black communities that usually vote Democrat/liberal were opposed to gay marriage and created the biggest potential hurdle to the measure passing. Black communities seem to be less progressive in terms of accepting homosexuality than whites or Latinos. I'm not entirely sure why, although I'm sure the religious influence has a lot to do with it. The Baptist church is still the most popular for African Americans, and they are pretty much lock-step with the Catholic church on social issues.
I'm surprised that the Latinos are as accepting as they are, because of the machismo culture and the Catholic influence.
