All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
Yet the Jets, their beat writers, and fans couldn't stop talking about how productive he would be in '12. Flat out delusional, just like all the Tebow package talk that never materialized. All talk.
Reminds me of the offseason delusions that the Bills and fans have here.
Nix was the national scouting director. There is no doubt his poor talent evaluating skills played a role in Maybin's stock.
Speculation at best. Do you KNOW Buddy Nix had Maybin higher rated than Orakpo? Because that's the issue. Maybin was highly rated on every mock draft leading up to the draft. He was going to be taken early by someone that's a fact. And someone was going to get burned.

you think it's speculation that Nix, as national scouting director, had a hand in the Maybin pick? So, what you are suggesting is that the Bills paid him to be scouting director, ignored his advice on draft day even though they paid for it, then promoted him to GM even though they thought so highly of his advice that they ignored it.

Could be.
"Gee Buddy, why should we promote you to GM?"
"Because I would've never drafted Maybin."

so because he's a scouting director that means he told the Bills to pull the trigger on Maybin? That's also speculation.
