The other thing tempering my anger is that the Sabres weren't exactly poised to make a run this year. They were headed for another year of being a bubble team as far as making the playoffs, and a very likely first-round exit if they snuck in.
Of course there's still NFL football 3 nights a week and ND still has to play in the national championship game. After that, I'll find myself sitting around with nothing to watch, and then I'll be really pissed off.
Every year, I say I'm going to start following college hoops after the New Year so I can make good tourney picks, and every year I get distracted and don't do it. Without hockey to distract me, maybe this is the year I'll actually pay attention.Comment
