    Cordarrelle Patterson- WR- Tenn

Here's a guy climbing some boards that could be a sleeper for us on draft day. I watched Tennessee several times this year to catch Bray and Justin Hunter among others. But Patterson stood out more than any other Vol each time I watched. He's very fast, big, can muscle defenders, has good hands. He's really a threat both vertically and in coverage. He's exactly the type of WR that Nix is targeting. He's also a very good threat as a returner. He's also a very good open field runner. He has good vision and solid moves to juke defenders and get extra yards... He's elusive and shifty.

He's 6' 3", 205. A JUCO transfer from Hutchinson CC. Speed wise there are rumors of a 4.34 40 yard dash. It's not a rumor that he ran a 10.3 100 meter... And that's very fast. On the field you can see he's a burner. But he's also physical and is well built.

    10.54 is confirmed here:

    10.33 is confirmed here:

What he isn't is polished as a route runner or very experienced. He's green. That's why he may be a bit of a sleeper. Keenan Allen, and Justin Hunter have more experience. Allen is the top WR at this point on many boards.

But, I can see Patterson being very much in the mix for us at 8 at this point.

Big, strong, blazing fast, great body control, good hands, great movement in space.

He's going to be a stud at this level, and if we drafted him, I wouldn't even be mad.

I'm a little leery of his hands. If we do draft him, people are going to need to be patient for a couple of seasons.

Chance he skyrockets after the combine and goes top 5?

He was in community college in 2011. I think high-teens would be considered a "skyrocketed" stock. Top 10 is probably overhyped.

He;s athletically gifted beyond pretty much every other WR other than maybe, maybe Williams.

But the combine wont boost his stock much, if at all. It's pretty much known he's an athletic freak at this point.

After watching those two videos, the guy seems as much like Harvin as anything else. Very good open field awareness, as soon as any hole opened up with a blocker in front of him, he was gone. One thing that I didn't see, was anything much in the way of vertical catches. Which is somewhat disconcerting, tbh.

It's always a little troubling when a highlight film of a WR has more footage of YAC than actually catching the ball. IMO he let's it get to his body more than he should.

I did see some decent catches, with just use of his hands, but I've not seen enough to disagree with you tbh. What I didn't see was anything caught above anyone, and that is troubling.

4.37 for Patterson. He's a top ten pick, no doubt in my mind.

It will be a bit slower when the official number comes in but it's no surprise.

I think he'll do well in the vertical and bench too.

That really shouldn't happen. Scouts should already know he's an athletic guy.

Very impressive. For his body type, a 4.4 40 time is nothing to slouch at.

His Yac ability is electric. I've always loved receivers who are as dangerous getting open as they are after they catch the ball.

    Re: Cordarrelle Patterson- WR- Tenn

    37 inch vertical... 6th best among WR's.

I think he should be able to jump up and get it like Nix wants...

6th best broad jump at 128 inches...
