    Tragedy in Dallas

    http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports...,1157840.story

Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Josh Brent is expected in court this morning over Saturday's charge of manslaughter after a car he was driving crashed and killed teammate Jerry Brown Jr.

Police in the Dallas suburb of Irving said that Brent, 24, was driving at high speed on a state highway at 2:21 a.m. Saturday when the car slammed into an "outside curb, causing the vehicle to flip at least one time before coming to rest in the middle of the service road."

Brown, who had been in the passenger seat, was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital a short time later. Brent suffered "minor scrapes" and was booked into the Irving jail, where he awaited arraignment, police said.

"Officers at the scene believed alcohol was a contributing factor in the crash," police said, adding that Brent was given a sobriety test. "Based on the results and the officer's observations and conversations with Price-Brent, he was arrested for driving while intoxicated," Irving police spokesman John Argumaniz said at a news conference.

School: University of Wyoming / Height: Mucho Grande / Stats are for losers
Pros: Josh Allen is one of the best prospects in recent years. His arm strength makes Superman cry like the baby he is. He would be the perfect fit in a place like Buffalo where it has never once stopped snowing or had winds under 30 mph (according to the national media).
Cons: Josh Allen is one of the worst prospects in recent years. If you were unaware, his accuracy is really bad. He also suffers from poor decision making which is reflected in his haircut.
Pro Comparison: Josh Allen is equivalent to playing your drunk friend in Madden. One play, he lofts a screen pass over the running back's head out of bounds. The next play he throws a perfect 50 yard pass into triple coverage with one eye open asking "which team am I".

That is to bad, brown was on the ticats practice roster but we cut him. It was nice to see him land with dallas, being his favourite team. Sad.
Retired Lieutenant-General Roméo Dallaire was blunt in his assessment.

“I wouldn’t touch Mali with a 10-foot pole,” he told me in fall 2016 after returning from a fact-finding trip to Africa with Defence Minister, Harjit Sajjan.

Brown's family has asked Brent to meet them at the airport and sit with them at the services.

Interesting considering he's responsible for their son's death.

I still want to know why they were out drinking at 2 am when they have a game in a day and a half.

I'm not saying that what happened was deserved, but it does seem like strange behavior.

yeah but my job requires me to sit in front of a computer. It doesn't require me to be in peak physical condition.

I believe you've posted on here that you've done 5k's and the like- do you drink 36 hours before a race?

Yes and I've drank during the race too.

Every July 4th during the Peachtree Road Race (10K) they offer free beer every few miles I've grabbed it numerous times.

The hell night before I PR'd in a 10K I tied one on pretty good, woke up hung over, got to the race, puked and ran the fastest 10K of my life (45:21).

Beer before a race is good for you. Every runner knows this.
