The MSM is starting to react to the tragedy, The Discovery Channel is canceling "American Guns" and "Gun Country".

Rather than air these shows, Discovery has decided to bow to the viewing power of empty headed soccer moms and sackless metrosexuals by taking anything that deals with guns whether educational or part of the hunting culture, off until further notice. They will replace them with SpongeBob SquarePants and reruns of the Partridge Family.

On another media front, copies of "The Expendables and "The Expendables 2" DVD's are being recalled and will be destroyed. The upcoming 5th Installment of "Die Hard", set to begin filming will be stopped and shelved. Producers will use the movie's budget to remake "Bambi".

Yeah I also heard last night about some movies release being delayed (Django something or other). Also some song called "Die Young" either being delayed or just scraped all together.

And don't know how much Newtown actually had to do with it, but Ted Nugent's show has been canceled. It did have pretty ****ty ratings anyways, and he is an ******* anyways, so something good here anyways. :)

"Django Unchained". I would think they would let that one go. I've seen the trailer and it seems to be about a poor black guy (Jamie Foxx) learning to shoot and coming to rescue his wife from the evil white scumbag who bought her as his property. A favorite Hollywood plot.

You mean The Band Perry's If I Die Young? To be fair I heard that song shortly after my lady died back in November 2010 and it hit me in the heart. However, over time I heard that song a couple more times and derived a little hope from it. Although I don't think a little child should ever have to sing such a song and that all children should be innocent of knowing what it means to see someone their age die, I don't see that song as offensive. It does have cognitive disonence as it is a happy tune with some bitter-sweet lyrics. I would think that such a song would bring solace and comfort to the parents of these children. As for the Discover Channel canceling programs in the wake of this, I can support it as long as they don't touch Mythbusters

KIIS in L.A., OTOH, pulled Foster the People's Pumped Up Kicks. That one, which DOES touch on an incident of violence, was-according to the group's leader Mark Foster-designed to bring awareness to violence in schools and was partly inspired by Columbine.
