    (Another) shot across Gailey's bow...

    The beat goes on.

    Excerpt from:

Week 16 Game Rankings: Niners-Seahawks best gift for fans
By Jason La Canfora, CBS Sports NFL Insider, Dec. 19, 2012 3:17 PM ET

    ..."Buffalo at Miami

Why To Watch: Both of these front offices have to be engaging in some collective fingernail biting. The Bills in particular better not go out with a whimper after owner Ralph Wilson went all Jerry Jones in the offseason and out-spent pretty much everyone in the league. A 5-11 record gets people fired -- as most coaches and execs who have worked for the Bills in the past 15 years or so could attest to. So if you are in some kind of general manager dead pool, then by all means, tune in and stay for all four quarters.

What To Watch For: Ryan Tannehill looked as comfortable in the second half last week as he has all year. Of course, playing the Jags, with their middle-school pass rush, probably had a lot to do with that ... Will Chan Gailey ever just succumb to logic and feed C.J. Spiller? It's almost as if the ol' play-caller has no self-preservation gene, which many Bills fans might view as a good thing at this point in his regime ... How will the Bills fare without a live performance of Gangnam Style at halftime this week? It didn't seem to rally them nearly as much as one might have expected in Week 15."...

"Thanks for printing the article on the Kentucky Labor Cabinet employees shoveling snow (“Office workers to shovel snow” Nov. 22). At first glance, I thought they were actually helping until I read the quote by Kentucky Association of State Employees President David Smith. He admits he is 42 and should not be shoveling snow, nor should cabinet employees because they have not been properly trained.

You need to be ‘trained’ to shovel snow? Really?

Trained to do what...scoop, dump, repeat? It is this mentality that explains what is wrong in Frankfort. Perhaps Smith wants the government to hire $30 per hour “snow shovel technicians” so he can take a cut of their
union dues? - Letter to the Editor, Cincinnati Enquirer, 11/23/14

CJ will get the ball a lot the next two games and we'll probably win them because we'll get 1st downs.

"we kept the team here for 7 more years, what are you all complaining about? you can't stomach 3 50+ games? twice against an AFC East foe and then a loss to a team that can't figure out what it's doing with QB?"

Re: (Another) shot across Gailey's bow...

Don't forget - the Bills are struggling to finish a putrid 7-9 with the 29th easiest schedule in the NFL

    http://espn.go.com/blog/nflnation/po...th-of-schedule

So if they go 7-9 this season, it's not like Gailey can point to any tangible improvement in the team. They were 6-10 last season with the 2nd ranked schedule in terms of toughness

    http://espn.go.com/blog/nflnation/po...th-of-schedule

And if the Bills DO go 6-10 this year, it could reasonably be argued the team went BACKWARDS in 2012 since the schedule was easier. Given the fact of improved talent, and fewer injuries, what in blazes is Gailey's excuse for the record THIS season?

The announcers for the Toronto game did a decent job pointing out some flaws in CJ's ability to pick up blitzes and help pass protect.

Long you live and high you fly And smiles you'll give and tears you'll cry And all you touch and all you see Is all your life will ever be.
