    Levitre wants to stay

On his radio show this AM, based on a scale of one to ten, Levitre said his desire to stay in Buffalo was a 10. But, he wants to be paid.

Long you live and high you fly And smiles you'll give and tears you'll cry And all you touch and all you see Is all your life will ever be.
If you had just a minute to breathe and they granted you one final wish would you ask for something like another chance?

    He's as good as gone.

He wants to be paid = testing FA.

Someone will throw a boatload of money at him and he'll say sayonara.

So which is it? Does he want to stay or does he want to get paid?

I want to eat whatever the hell I want but I also want to be ripped like Tarzan. Doubt I can get both.

I love you guys... he says 10 out of 10 and you get suicidal. I'd hate to see the reaction if he said 2 out of 10.

So...why can't we use the franchise tag on him? Seems like that is never an option in Buffalo because we never have anyone to use it on, but this would be the scenario to use it (especially if we can get a deal done with Byrd).

They could, but oline money is $9mil plus. Tagging Byrd would cost about $6.5mil.

Pay him. We are going to have a grind it running game and will need him. I expect we'll look like SF's offense last year ... maybe even the same QB

Well, for $19.99 a month I can send you these pills that will help you lose weight while you eat whatever you want! Plus they will make you add muscle so that you are ripped like Tarzan! Act now! Supplies are limited!

    Re: Levitre wants to stay

We have a franchise tag and a transition tag.

The transition tag is perfect for Levitre because no one knows his market value at this point. Is someone going to offer him Carl Nicks money? or is he going to get considerably less?

Transition tag will get other teams to make offers and allow us the chance to match if we feel its worth it.

Franchise tag will go to Byrd if he don't sign.

As critical of Bumbling Buddy Nix as I have been, I'm going to truly measure his effectiveness in how he handles retaining quality talent like Levitre.
