The Roster Moves have begun for NHL

The parade of expected signings and trade began before 10 a.m. when the Philadelphia Flyers announced they had signed free agent defenseman Kurtis Foster and acquired backup goalie Brian Boucher from Carolina.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed Mike Mottau, and the New York Islanders have signed Radek Martinek.

Meanwhile, Twitter was abuzz was about medically sound Scott Gomez not being at the Montreal Canadiens camp. It seems as if Montreal may pay him this season to stay away from the team, and then buy out his contract this summer when it doesn't count against the salary cap.
