But I got suspicious when the day of the shooting they showed the state police taking the rifle out of the trunk of Lanza's car, then 2 days after the shooting the ME says that everyone was killed with the rifle. Something doesn't add up.

That may very well be what you thought you saw, but if you know anything about guns, it's easy to tell that was not an AR-15. That had a side discharge lever and a Kalashnikov-like profile, and AR-15's have a rear dischrge lever. Also, the round that came out of that thing was no .223. It was much bigger. I watched the same video you did. It was a shotgun with an AK variant design....a Saiga 12.
