id say thats pretty dramatic. those numbers do include the recent, small cooling trend in the region. so it was even more dramatic before.

and im not silly enough to suggest its man made climate change alone.

That's a change in temperature, not a change of climate. Even if the temperature figures mentioned were 100% accurate, the classification of Alaska's climate hasn't changed.

i dont buy that climate classification has to change in order for climate change to be proven or dis proven. a temperature change is indeed proof of significant global warming/climate change. is it all man made? not a snowballs chance in hell.

but thats a significant jump. fairbanks lies close to the tundra climate classification, is it remotely possible that the jump caused fairbanks classification to change in the last 64 years?

i honestly dont know. it wouldnt shock me either way. but that significant jump can cause a jump in humidity, which is more indicative of sub artic climate over tundra. though both are certainly dry.

the subtropical humid climate seems pretty far north.
