I'm not a big Marino fan. But it appears he is taking care of the kid and the mom.
instead of being behind on court ordered support, like we always hear.
Funny how the NY Post calls it shocking. That's mild compared to a lot of the stuff that goes on. Seems like everyone got what they wanted. The woman got rich. Marino had his fling. His wife keeps her husband, and the kid grows up with the best of everything. Is it OK for him to do that? No, but it's done and over with, and life goes on.
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.
I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.

Its not the worst thing an athlete has done.
And every athlete cheats on their wife.
That's nothing. Must be a slow news week. Look at Travis Henry or Ray Lewis.
Travis probably has 40 kids, with just half being known.
Marino has been known to be a cheap dork who won't even tip waiters and bartenders. Having 1 known lovechild proves his cheapness.

Typical Dolphin!
This explains your posting.

What a terrible thing to do to a kid. There's more to growing up than having money.
To be fair to Marino she was pretty hot.

sounds like an attempted scandal. but everyone seems to know about it that matters. mother of kid and kid are covered. Marino admits to it. his family has dealt with it. it sounds like a non-story.
I never liked marino. and i frankly find him difficult to deal with now since somehow he became the standard bearer of excellence while kelly who played 3 less years on the front end and 2-3 years less on the back end of his career and is more accurate and played more playoff games than marino and was more or less a winner with 4 glaring exceptions.

I am with you all the way on that. But reality shows that this stuff happens all the time. Always has, always will, no matter what. And once it happens you can either step up and take responsibility. Or ignore it and hope it goes away, which seems all to common.
Thats why I say Marino is doing the right thing, at least financially.
just saying kelly won every year from 88 to 96. He lost 4 superbowls. but he gets dinged for getting there and losing than marino who never sniffed at the game after his first loss.
If kelly and marino got to play in the same weather for the same number of years, kelly would have destroyed marino statistically.
