Vanek is the new Briere.

Ennis picked up where Vanek left off: missing breakaways and fanning on point blank PP shots.

This team has no secondary scoring. Ennis, Foligno and Grigs all had chances to make it 4-1 and put the game away. Instead we have a 3-2 game with a "next goal wins" feel.

Seriously, it feels like the Vanek line can pull a goal out of their ass at any second, but no one else is going to score unless its an empty netter.

One line teams don't win. Remember Ottawa with the Alfredsson--Spezza-Heatley line? They may make the playoffs but they won't get the Cup.
