The Pitchers are, the Yankees don't have a Catcher. Cervelli doesn't count either. It's going to be a long year. The only upside I can think of is no Aroid for the year. Mo being back is nice, just hope he has a decent year, Jeter needs to have a monster season for the Yankees to sniff the playoffs. At the moment I'm thinking 3rd in the division. Toronto has made some huge moves and even Boston got better. The Yankees just got older.

Between the aging roster and the new King Felix deal it can't feel good to be a Yankee fan right now.

Never thought the Yankees had a legit chance at Felix anyway. The days of the blockbuster trades for the Yankees are pretty much over. Cano may end up being the last "mega" deal the Yankees make in the near future. A lot of people thought Josh Hamilton would be a Yankee, ended up with the Angels without the Yankees even considering him. The Dodgers, Jays, Angels are the new "Yankees" with the big deals and trades.

i think Hank is alot more concerned with lining his pockets than actually having a winning team, unlike his father who was willing to put himself on the brink of bankruptcy just to get a title. i think the next decade or so of the Yankees will look alot like the Galisano ownership of the sabres, do just enough to be competitive, but not enough to actually win anything

Its not so much the spending that bugs me, its the fact that Yankees have no future on their roster.

Being a Mets fan I know I'm in for another rough season, but now the new generation of Yankee fans can finally experience it!

looking ugly already. lost a lot of power from the lineup during the offseason. now with Grandy and Tex missing 8-10 weeks each there is no pop in the lineup.

Who protects Cano in the lineup? If I am a starting pitcher going against the Yankees I don't get worried at all about the lineup.

That is sad. I just can't see any pitcher thinking " I have to pitch to Cano, I have Hafner and Youk coming up".

well it may be Cano is the protection for them? or the fact that Jeter and Ichiro will be batting before him and getting on base?
