Lets talk trade deadline

I think it's painfully obvious that we are sellers at this point.

Do we have anyone who has any value and a tradeable contract?

Think any other teams have interest in Stafford, Ennis or Gerbe? Should we try to trace a young defenseman like Weber, Brennan or McNabb?

What should we look for in return? Can we get a good center man? Should we be looking solely at prospects?

trade anyone who got comfortable in Lindy's lazy system. That might be the whole roster though.

Don't think anyone is off the table except maybe Vanek. We don't have a center that is good defensively so I think they are all expendable. Every defenseman is playing below their ability. Maybe someone will want one of them based on how they played in previous years.

Henceforth my T. Myers thread, buy on what they remember & blame the team for the bad play. It's not unfathomable or a hard argument, considering we're near the bottom of bottom.

At this point I wouldn't be opposed to trading Myers, but no one is going to pay that salary for his current level of performance unless they totally fleece us in the trade.

Like I said, there's previous play to follow & the team is playing terrible. Would you give a first for Myers based on his previous play?? Most teams would, even with his salary. This is all IMO of course, which is a debate in the making.

I don't think so, especially not with the cap going down next year. Most teams can't afford him, and the ones that can will find better ways to spend the money.

I think you would have teams lining up to give you a 1st round pick if that was all it took to get Myers. There are lots of teams that could use D help and need to have some salary added. NYI comes to mind as they are stock piling crappy goalie contracts to get to the salary floor. Looking at Capgeek, the 10 teams with the most cap are the Blues, Coyotes, NYI, Avalanche, Blue Jackets, Senators, Predators, Ducks, Oilers and Jets. So that is a few teams that are near the top of the standings. I bet they would love to get a 23 year old prospect Defenceman.

I'd be in favor of shipping off Brennan to whoever will take him, like Grags. Pretty apparent the guy isn't an NHL player.

I wouldn't be opposed to Vanek/Miller/Pominville being moved, either. Time for a full re-build.

i wouldnt mind moving pommer, and i dont see the value in moving miller, we would need to get a #1 talent goalie in return, and most teams, except those in NY and NJ dont want to tie up that much money into that position.

i do think there's a chance you could see pomminville moved to colorodo for ORiley
