If he's not cooperating, it usually means a) he was involved or b) he's got something else illegal and he doesn't want the cops finding it while investigating the murder.

Doesn't look good for him from what I'm reading. The victim had been dating Hernandez's girlfriends sister. Hernandezm and couple other guys were seen leaving a bar with the victim together a few hours before the body was discovered.
