    Bills early round possibilities watch

    OLB, G, S stand out as our biggest needs to me.

    OLB, Anthony Barr, UCLA- Disruptive and explosive again in the game against Neb. 3 forced fumbles and 11 tackles...

    LG, Cyrus Kouandjio, Ala- Quick feet, can block at the second level, get very good leverage with a low center of gravity. Can lock on and stay with his man. But, he's not much of a knee bender. Two stupid false starts is troubling.

    I'll update as we go.

    Edited: Changed the title to include guys who seem like they could go in the first 3 rounds.

    OLB, CJ Mosely, Ala- Very quiet so far. I'd like to see a playmaker make plays

    S, Ha-Ha Dix, Ala- A few tackles. Quiet though.

          I can't see a need for OT. Depth? Sure.

          But Glenn has been very good and even if we're worried about Pears we will get Hairston back. And even then I wouldn't look that way in round 1.

            Colin Brown is a liability, but depending on where we are in the 1st I'd like to see Austin Seferian-Jenkins picked.

              A few guys I was impressed with today...

              DE/OLB Jeremiah Attaochu, GT, 6'3" 242- High intensity, fiery, all over the field. He may play undisciplined with all that emotion. I could see him sneak in the 2nd or 3rd.

              DE/OLB JR Collins, VT, 6'2" 261- Disruptive and quick rusher. Just a flat out playmaker. Down year last year but has been very good so far this year. I think his stock will rise and may land him in an early round.

                Depending on where we pick...

                Anthony Barr or Jake Matthews are no brainers at the top of the draft... followed by Mosley or Lewan (10-15 range)... and Kyle Van Noy or Cyril Richardson as mid rounders.

                  Nyquillous Dillwad of LSU is starting to impress me;
                  Elipses Corter's sheen is starting to dim a bit at Bama;
                  Bismo Funyon at FSU gets better each week;

                      At this point you take the best CB on the board in the first, the best guard left in the 2nd and the best TE there in the 3rd.

                      Then more CB and OL depth, and a LB or 2.

                      Grab another WR in free agency.

                        So we should add yet another young CB to the mix of young CB's? If it's another Gilmore I'd be alright with that. But, I want to add a vet not another youngster.

                        Wouldn't hate a G. Not sure I see one projected into early 1. And I'd see us go after more of an impact position in the early 1st.

                        TE I agree with. At this early point, late 1st or 2nd seems like a more likely spot.

                          Re: Bills early round possibilities watch

                          I feel like a stud OLB would make the biggest impact on this team. If you get a guy who's a very good pass rusher, quick enough to cover a TE, and decent against the run you will really improve the defense as a whole.

                          Now, our secondary is currently a mess. But, Aaron Williams has played very well at S. Gilmore is a stud. And McKelvin has been surprisingly good at #2 CB. All of that is without Byrd. If Byrd is re-signed our secondary will be very good and we won't need to add a day one starter from the draft. If Byrd leaves we should be looking for a starting S from FA or the draft.

                          LG is also an issue. No way around it, we can use an upgrade. I do think this is a spot where you can get a day one starter out of the first round. So, this may also be a spot where we take one in rounds 2 or 3.

                          TE is intriguing. It's a spot where we could use a stud receiving threat. It's also a spot where it's possible that one or even two guys end up being mid-1st worthy picks. The 2nd or 3rd is more likely but if you think Jenkins or even Ebron are worthy... Maybe you make the leap. I do think we should be careful... If we don't see stud TE ability... serious threat as a receiver... I don't think we should make that jump in the 1st.

                            Manny Lawson is playing very well and doing all the things you just talked about. In addition he is 6'6 and has long arms which is a great defense for TEs running the seam route.

                            Personally I would look at getting another DL in the first round or a stud OT. I wonder if Pears could play LG and then we get a rookie like Matthews or Lewan and have them play RT.

                            I am not sure if Bradham is in the dog house or if he will get some snaps in upcoming weeks, could be punishment for what he did but another LB in the mold of Kiko would be another possibilty as this defense is predicated on flexibility and the off not knowing who is who.

                            Personally I would draft best DL player in the first round. Kyle Williams is getting up there in age and unfortunately the guy I was rooting for hard core Carrington just tore his quad so no idea if he will be back.

                            I think Dareus is playing fairly well for a NT so we need another penetrating DT to line up as an end for us. I was high Tuitt but he is looking slow this year, Easley from UF looks like a beast so he would be my pick as of right now.

                              Really like the look of Kouandjio. The problem is he looks much more like a G to me and I think some team may convince themselves he can be a LT. Do we take a LG as early as the top 15?

                              Ryan Groy, Wis, LG is experienced and looks good too. May be able to get him in the 3rd.
