Rob Ray had a discussion with Burke when the Sabres were playing Calgary and Burke told Ray that he thinks the Buffalo rebuild won't take that long and that alot of GM's are jealous of the Sabres and Murray because they are AHEAD OF ALL THE OTHER NHL TEAMS with their prospects that are in the Sabres system. Burke also credits Murray for standing his ground and not giving in at getting high draft picks

Grigs had 9 points in 5 playoff games.. Too bad Quebec went out in the 1st round of the QMHL playoffs but Grigs doesn't need anymore junior time he needs to show something in the AHL

regardless... I very much would like to see these two paired together in the AHL for a year... throw in Sam Bennett, Risto and Zad all playing there next year if they can.

give them a year to get to know each other and compete together... without the spotlight.

Then bring them all up in 2015 with Eichel or McDavid or whoever we get in that draft.

add a couple of key free agents... And he can take his 5 years and stick it where the sun don't shine.

The idea is to protect the Junior leagues. Teams would sign all the players at 18 and send them to the minors.

But if they are good enough to hang with the big boys, more power to them.

That is why Risto was AHL eligible. He came from Europe

i always thought first rounders should get an exemption to allow them to enter the AHL a year after their draft. so at 19.
