I firmly believe Murray/Nolan have a completely open mind towards the goalie situation. Anyone stepping forward in camp can win that job right now.

nice little article on a sabres prospect. he doesnt look to become anything special, but its nice to see him exceeding some expectations.

219 is awesome and Ginger is right... very good skating by a man that big. I still like our idea of him on the wing... if he continues to progress, he'd be very difficult to deal wth at that speed and size.

Does he make the big club, or should he go to Rochester a few months and further his development?

    That's the question I guess.

it depends on the competition, but I'd approach him and tell him we see you as a top 6 and right now you need to play as such. That means going to Rochester and leading by example. Let him know that he will get opporruniry on the big club throughout the year... but it's going to be earned.

if he responds positively to that... next year you have a top 6 forward... a pro.

I assume he knows now he needs to grow through the ranks. A huge 180 from a few months ago!

Agreed... he will be one of the cool stories to watch. I know you're zoned in on Armia. Me... I want to know how Zad is going to handle another year of juniors. He's physically a man amongst boys... but by the sounds of it... still very much a boy.

Armia is the forgotten prospect. Seems everyone overlooks him.

I disagree, with how he finished last year. Inconsistent as most younger guys are early in their career.

Plus when I watched armia play in person, he didn't score, but was very noticeable on the ice. Using his body to get in the slot and such. Reminded me of Rick Nash a bit. He has skill, size, and a good work ethic. It'll come together.

McCabe scored. Grigo with the assist. Two prospects at least produced.

Does grigo make the team? He had a good preseason.

He's not overlooked to Ted Nolan, I'm quite certain.

wgr makes a case for him to go to Rochester. Read here:

    Re: sabres prospect talk

I agree sending him to Rochester. But it wasn't because he was bad this preseason.
