updated stats. some pretty PPG at the top.
baptiste scores 2 goals saturday. has 11 goals in 11 games. kids got wheels too!
reading good things on risto and zad tonight. risto scores. apparently, zad was pointing out where he wanted stafford to go on a rush (rookie telling a vet where to go? good sign.)
grigs getting some time tonight at least.
for what its worth, i asked kris baker of sabresprospects.com about grigs. i asked him if he was concerned about him. his response?
Not at all. He's playing better and I'm confident he'll keep trending upward. RT @Mike*****Mike are you concerned about grigs at all?

weekend update on the prospects.
mcnabb and adam are having nice bounceback years so far. might be time to give one (or both) another look. adam, maybe his final look.
IIRC, when Adam was brought up towards the end of the season last year he looked pretty good. He's still relatively young, I don't think he's a lost prospect at this point.
I love McNabb and it's great to hear he's bouncing back well, but do we really have room for him at this point?
i suspect zad will be returned to london, and weber is out long term.
Listening to Rolston yesterday, it sounds like Zadaorv is going nowhere.
And I love McCabe. If you saw him in the Juniors last year you would know why. The kid is going to be a solid, albeit unspectacular, NHL defenseman

the thing with me is, im more conservative with prospects. dont rush them, you run the risk of ruining them. i get that during a rebuild. you play younger players. but every first round pick you get doesnt have to be shoved into the lineup right away.
now, if hes playing well, and it appears he is, well, its a moot point. but at this point, and this is just how i would do it. id give zad his 9 games, send him back, and call up mcnabb.

armia a week away from returning, will be sent to rochester, per bill hoppe.
7th rounder eric locke had, in order PP assist, SH assist, PP goal, EN goal tonight for saginaw.
justin kea was held scoreless, but had an interesting night. first, he went legs first into the boards after being shoved. he stayed down, but eventually came back. next time out, during a time out, he went after an owen sound player, and was given a 10 min misconduct. the game got out of control after that.
locke and kea were on both the PP and PK.
kea has skinny ass legs. good skater through.

kea had two goals for sagnasty last night, but the spirit lost to the soo greyhounds.
oh, and saginaw has a goalie that will be available this upcoming draft. Nikita Serebryakov. not great numbers so far, but they say hes developing nicely and is likely a top 3 round pick in the upcoming draft. he has lightning quick feet and great positioning. i really like this kid if the sabres dont take a goalie high in the draft.
