Right now he has **** for brains.

i disagree. some guys just have that "it" factor and can learn fast (risto) and some need to develop. players need to develop. some do, some dont. at 19, the jury is out on zad.

if the right deal came along, sure. i would hope murray wouldnt be in a rush to move a highly talented teenager who is playing in the NHL before hes ready and thus looks over his head, on a team thats over its head.

hudson fasching had a heck of a weekend for the gophers.

compher had an assist friday, but sustained a minor injury later in that game.

Nice article on Sam reinhart. Remember him? While everyone's out obsessing over mceichel, it's nice to recall the top prospect we have at the time.

Come playoff time I think Sam will average 2PPG at least and dominate a bit more. I think this regular season was likely kinda boring for him

Well you have to play someone next year so he probably gets a shot at least.

Funny, talked with Harrington of the Buffalo News who covered the world juniors and he said that Compher was invisible. Good to see that hopefully he is growing.

he didnt impress during the WJC or the first half of michigans season. after the WJC, he came alive and really played well. michigan had a really solid team this year, but their scoring was down. as a result, his numbers took a hit. still, a good season.

sadly, michigan lost the big10 title game and just missed the tournament as a result. his season is over.

That's what I said. After he returned to Michigan however, he began to play extremely well. At one point he had 7 goals in 3 games I believe.

Glad to see he's responding well to Nolan criticism.

interesting theory being floated as to why point wise Sam Reinhart hasn't been as dominant as he should.. Since being back with Kootenay Sam has been doing a ton of weighlifting sessions way more than any of his teammates do and his heavy weightlifting workload has affected his performance a bit.. as come game time he isn't a "fresh" as he would be if he wasn't weightlifting a ton during the season.. Kootenays playoff season starts tonight perhaps the Sabres development coaches will now have Sam lay off the weights

honestly, hes probably bored. think about it. kid gets drafted, gets sent back. he doesnt want to be there. he gets up for the WJC, because its a huge stage, then back to the WHL. its obvious, with all the weightlifting sessions, hes taking his obligation to be a pro extremely seriously. so playing in the WHL is probably a huge let down for him. its not an attitude problem or anything. hes simply bored of it.

    thats my take, anyways.
