    Flynn released

    From BB.com

    No clue why.

Must be he just can't grasp our offense or something. Keeping Tuel is stupid right now. I'd rather try Dixon.

Great, that means we're definitely keeping Tuel.

If EJ, Tuel & Lewis are all healthy, why keep him? Seems the most logical man out.

    Re: Flynn released

theyre pretty close to having the three guys they want on the team long term all available to play. flynn was just disaster insurance

regarding tuel look at it this way, if you had a floating ball wouldnt you want someone to evaluate it first without just rushing to cut it? maybe your floating ball could be corrected or maybe youd just have to use it as a bath toy. but cutting as the first option just isnt wise when most of your other balls dont float

If it wasn't for one horrible mistake most everyone would be happy with Tuel. I'm willing to see if he learned from that mistake.

    Re: Flynn released

I'd rather have Tuel than Flynn as the THIRD QB.

They (The Bills) aren't going to say all of the good things they've said about Tuel, and then just cut him after one game.

Flynn was obviously insurance, and couldn't beat out an undrafted rookie to start when he had the chance. He sucks.

He over threw on the 1st INT, and missed repeatedly. Not one mistake..
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
    It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

He sucks. Hate to say it, but he's been terrible ever since he left Green Bay.

Show me one good highlight or...., anything good for that matter of Matt Flynn having any sort of success at all since leaving Green Bay.

I know he made other poor passes but I said one horrible mistake and it was a mental one. Without that we likely win and most people are saying he did a decent job and can get better. Because of one terrible decision everyone thinks he's useless and should be cut. That is nonsense IMO

It's level of suckiness at this point. Tuel does not even belong on an NFL roster.

I don't disagree with you. Right now Tuel is just a little less sucky than Flynn only because he knows the playbook.

    Re: Flynn released

Tuel needs to be developed and he has some mechanics issues that need to be worked on during the off season.

He is a guy that never should have played for the first 2 or 3 years of his career and we should have had a legit veteran on the roster. That being said he has some physical tools that I think could be developed in the future but he has a long long long way to go.

Flynn has hit his perverbial ceiling and that is why he is gone, Tuel maybe develops and lights up the preseason in a couple of years and we can get a draft pick for him ie Schaub.

He could of cut him instead of Flynn today. I think people are overreacting because his mistake was so huge and cost us the game. He may turn out to be a bum but he showed enough in his first ever NFL game to be worth keeping as our 3rd stringer for this year.
