Is this the best corner tandem we have EVER had.....

The Polarbear
I can't think of one that's better at the moment.
"You left me there! Ol' Roy out there by himself, with the buzzards pickin' at my head."
nate odomes was the man
no..I am talking about a corner TANDEM.....
PS...while I liked Nate Odems...I would take Antwain Winfield over him in a heartbeat....
I agree John. I can't think of a better tandom. Especially as their careers go on.
Leonard Smith is a fatty now.
jeff burris and thomas smith is the best I can think of, and that is uncomparable to the Corner Bucks.
Its all about the quest.
Actually, I think Nate and Antoine WILL be the best. We did have one good one for a little while there.....all four CBs were starting caliber...T.Smith (solid zone cover guy....didn't make many plays but didn't given them up), Burris (gave some up but made them as well), Marlon Kerner (in the Ohio State mold), and Ken Irvin (about like Burris but had problems switching first to RCB after playing at LCB his whole career and then in man coverage when he got moved to Nickel Back.
Marlon was gonna be a good corner until that one injury messed up his career. IMO i think that Leonard Smith and Nate Odomes are the best corners we have ever hard until now maybe in 10 11 years it will be different
Actually, it was two knee injuries for Marlon. One in late 1997 and then he came back just in time for the opener in 1998 only to blow out his other knee.
we have solid backups too.

I dunno... Thomas and Burris were pretty damn good..,
Thomas and Burris sucked at interceptions though. They were solid at shutting down the other team's top receivers but could never make a big play. Both of these guys are gonna be able to make game-breaking plays giving them the edge.
You won't find a better pair of tackling/hitting corners.... These guys are special!
Man, reading this thread, makes me miss Irvin. There was a true talented athlete.
We have an awesome duo at corner, and many an offense will revere us this season.
LOL
I remember when Kerner shut down Jerry Rice in SF. Kerner was a rookie at the time too.
I remember puntless game in SF where both team's corners could stop nothing! And that was with Rice out of the game!
That was a fun game!
Welcome to the Zone NC-BILLS!
