No they won't.

They've been playing without their three best players most of the season. The Staal's and Skinner will lift them over the Sabres

Carolina will be dismantled at the trade deadline or before, Buffalo is not the only team trying not to score on purpose.

As a Buffalo fan, You should hope the nhl record breaking lack of goal scoring going back to last season is indeed on purpose.

If you think they will magically turn this around with another draft class you're strait buggin.

On the bright side, The Rangers Duclair (3rd rounder and only 19 years old) has more points (5 points in 7 games) than the 2nd overall draft pick.

Including a game tying goal late in the 3rd period on Monday.

Goes to show you how fickle the draft is.

Outside of that girgisons kid the Sabres youth has been well below average at best.

who exactly is the youth you speak of?

also, comparing draft picks at this stage of the game is about as dishonest of an argument as possible.

were talking about kids for Christ's sake. I didn't start really figuring the game out till I was 16 or 17... and I still knew squat.

as far as Rinehart is concerned... put a top end talent like a McDavid or Eichel on his wing and what we drafted him for (passing) will come to bear.

Wasn't that also true of the Oilers for many recent years?

Is/was the Sabres management just so much more competent than the Oilers?

Jam always says that this Sabre prospect projects out to blank or that prospect projects to blank.

Perhaps the Sabres should change their name to the Buffalo Projects?
