I think I like your 1st draft better, but would not be upset with the 2nd.

My only change, I think Chandler should be resigned, unless he's asking for crazy $$$. I also think that we need to pay attn to UFAs...I think there might be a gem or two that we can snag for the PS @ the positions of deep depth in the draft (WR/OT).

Like the second draft, I'd be pretty happy with that.

So far I'm on the money with our own. Chandler has yet to sign elsewhere as does Moats. But Carpenter has re-signed.

I'm glad they re-signed Chandler. You don't let a TE with 50+ receptions get away from an offense where you have a young QB.
The Popcorn and Terrell Owens are coming to a town near you.

Is Boyd really projected in the seventh?

So, X, with Chandler getting resigned, do you change your 2nd pick on both drafts to a top Guard now?

Tough to say. There were rumors that the Bills really liked Gabe Jackson. I do as well. The question is whether he's a 2nd rounder or not. I could see him slip to the 3rd. Moncrief on the other hand might go as high as the 2nd.

And then there is the Mike Evans angle. He's the type of WR they are looking for and don't currently have. His stock is high enough that 9 is not out of the question.

So, if we remove TE from the equation which I do not think we can totally do, we could see a few scenarios:

    1) Lewan or Matthews
    2) Moncrief
    3) Gabe Jackson

    or

    1) Mike Evans
    2) Gabe Jackson
    3) Antonio Richardson

Those are just drafts where we pick guys I like a lot.

    Re: X's Fearless Off-Season V2.0

With the people they have behind Chandler (moeki and even Caussin), I don't think they will draft a TE w/the 1st 3 picks. Personally, I feel we need 2 Guards. I'm not really happy with either side rt now. And considering all they did in FA to get depth @other positions, I could see the scenario I listed in the other thread, where we trade down and grab a RT followed by 2 guards or a RT, LG, WR and grabbing the RG in the 3rd. I could also see them trading down and maybe taking WR Mike Evans and still following the above blueprint.

B'cse of what they did in FA, they have lots of options. That's a good thing!

That second Guard could come later in the draft I suppose.

A guy I like a lot is Ryan Groy. He's a late rounder. He won't wow you with anything but he brings his lunch pail and plays every down. He's got a nasty streak. He's the type of guy that could be drafted late and become a solid road grader at the G position.

The other option is Cyrus Kouandjio. I still maintain that his best position would be left G. I think he could be special there. His stock has slipped due to a poor Combine and early 2nd isn't out of the question.

I like your idea of Seferian-Jenkins in the 2nd MUCH better than taking Ebron in the first. Seferian-Jenkins is hurt. He has a stress fracture in his foot. It will be interesting to see what happens to his draft status. Could he drop? This is a TE I like. BUT, others have their eye on him too. LOL. Specifically Patriot fans:

Sadly, the more I think about it, the more I think they want Chris Williams @LG. I know he was a failure at Tackle, but I'm thinking that they believe he'll make a better Guard. They may be right, but I rather get elite OLinemen at this point and give EJ the best opportunity to succeed. We have a decent defense, so if EJ is able to step it up, I think we could have a pretty good season.

    Re: X's Fearless Off-Season V2.0

With the depth in this draft, at least for the first three rounds, even standing pat Buffalo is going to have several choices, several viable directions they can go with the picks.

    Ebron/Evans/Lewan/Nix etc in the first.
    Sefarian-Jenkins/Skov/Jackson in the second.
    Richardson/Montcrief/Bailey in the third.

The draft threads should be a lot of fun this year. We should get some really good players.

Draft metzenberger in the 3rd! Need better competition at QB. It would be nice to trade down and get another 2. A lot of blue chips can be had in second and early third!
