He said he used to post long ago a lot in the PR&S forum. I don't remember him. May be Shiva/Spartacus will.

Actually I do recall a "microscopes" post on rare occasion. But that doesn't mean that ID isn't one of Michael's or Rick's other IDs. I'm skeptical.

Guys this is a message sent from the new owner of the Range. He sends his respect to the Zone and supports the members here being loyal members. (as do I) This is his response to your questions.

1. 
   Just to answer some questions for you folks.
   
   1) I did hire a Vbulletin developer - here is his website (http://vbresults.com) You can hire him too and even ask him about me. He is using my login credentials.
   
   2) It does take time to fix issues if you're not a professional coder... Turns out we had over 500,000 copies of our "settings" that were being loaded with every page visit. Ouch!!
   
   3) Im NOT new to this! I own many websites. I buy and sell websites for a living. Look me up on Flippa.com :)
   
   4) I worked on Rick since October to buy the website. We became friendly and he finally got to the point where he was ready to retire. It wasn't one day where he just decided to sell.
   
   5) Yes, Michael posted in the staff forum yesterday that he is retiring.
   
   6) Literate Stylish IS and always will be banned at any of my forums.
   
   I read Buffalo Bills Insider every week for years. I was a lurker on the Range back in the day as well. I DO know a lot of the people. Well, not know personally, but I know of them. I feel like they're my family in a way.
   
   But guys, in all seriousness, the Range and Zone are two fabulous websites and any poster would be happy to be a member on either. Stay with what you're most comfortable with. A lot of you have become very comfortable at the Zone and that's great!

This option to purchase stock is very intriguing.

What does that buy you? What does that expose you to in liabilities? (IE if someone sues you for something like copyright infringement)

If the board ownership is sold- who gets the money? Does the board create a profit with dividends?

All Bills fan boards are "tolerated" by the Buffalo Bills because they are a good PR tool but are not an economic competitor. Any board run as a business or that takes away profit from the NFL or Buffalo Bills will be sued into oblivion pretty quick.


Anybody have a full first and last name of this guy with any legit businesses he involved with or employers he has? If it is legit he should be able to be quickly researched via the internet wit any Facebook/LinkedIn/Online White Pages/ ect....

Or this could be the ultimate sports version of a "Catfish" episode

After yesterday spending hours on the Range I'm over any conspiracy at this point. Those who want to stay, stay, those who want to do both do both. I'm enjoying both but my home was always the Range. Happy to have it back. I never got involved in drama in the past so it was crazy that I was a causality of what did happen over there in the end.

the term 'selling stock' was used but it wasnt really ownership, just the ability to be included in votes that decided how the site was run

interesting. i told him (russ) yesterday that i thought the idea had the potential to backfire and he should be careful with it. and now today i see that he has taken that announcement down completely so perhaps hes already seen what i meant

last nite he said he came over and read this thread and it hurt his feelings. im getting the impression hes a relatively young fanboy that had some money to burn that rick wanted so he ended up with the site. i just hope rick isnt playing him for a sucker like hes done to oh about a hundred other ppl so far. seems like a nice albeit wet behind the ears kid

One of the great things about him is he is very good with the website stuff. I don't think Rick or LIT or anyone will be finding backdoors to fk things up..

I spent 10 minutes in the shout box and the little hairs started standing up on the back of my neck.

I was fooled until then.

Then we (daryls, usual shot box guys) start reminiscing about posters who have passed away over the years.

Hurls met up with daQuiz at a game and ditched him at half time. I think Hurls was on staff at the time and Quiz went ballistic after.
