BUF #1 pick- which position pick serves best?

Hard for me to think that an OL doesn't fit the bill. I like Jake Matthews from Texas A&M - doing duty for Manziel who jived and danced all over the backfield.

    Thoughts?

OL is definitely the most sensible pick especially now that the Bills signed Mike Williams. It's definitely not a sexy pick. Question is, will the bills use the so called deep OL draft .

Now that Ralph is gone and a new owner coming in, maybe Marrone doesn't have the luxury or time to see if EJ will pan out. ONly way I see the bills drafting a QB early is if Whaley didn't want EJ and Nix forced him to

Marrone better make sure he can win with a running game and a dominant D .

Yes indeed. Problem is, what club wouldn't have the same idea?

So, grab early grab late - dunno.

OT for sure. Also, yes, we could use an upgrade at C, but I don't see anybody in this draft better than Wood.

To me OT is a very sexy pick...
The top 2 or 3 would be top 5 picks last year.... We will be set at Tackle for a very long time...
    Most logical sexy pick IMO

Walters Football has the Bills picking 4th in 2015.

    4. Buffalo Bills: Amari Cooper, WR, Alabama
2014 NFL Mock Draft selection: Jake Matthews, OT

The Bills would love for Mike Evans to fall to them at No. 9; despite the addition of Mike Williams, Buffalo needs help at receiver, as Stevie Johnson won't be on the team much longer. Fortunately for the Bills, this also looks to be a strong receiver class, led by Amari Cooper.

Depends. Tackle if top two tackles available (Matthews being one), if not TE if best available (Ebron), if not get a hitter (Mack or Moseley if available) or DB (Pryor or Ha-Ha if available).

Imho, taking a QB though would be like shooting ourselves in the groin with a shotgun.

Lot of teams had one and didn't make the playoffs. Need a team around one. Have a good team you have one. Seattle is dominant and Wilson just a piece, etc. Indy has Luck and woo.

Re: BUF #1 pick- which position pick serves best?

I want the Bills to draft Ebron but if Jake Matthews is available to draft I would rather have him. He can play both left tackle and right tackle and would be a great pick IMO. If somehow Manziel fell to 9 I would pray the Bills could trade down and get another second rd pick.

If the Bills are bad enough to draft 4th next year as Walters suggests, which oddly enough they're pretty good on their predictions, they better be drafting a QB as EJ Manuel is not the answer. Drafting some WR would be asinine.

    I'm a fan of USC's Marcus Martin.

Look at the bad teams and look at their QB position. It's no secret.

Texans - Schaub turned into a turnover machine, was benched, was unbenched, was benched.
Redskins - RGIII when he wasn't taking games off for being hurt was a shell of the 2012 version.
Vikings - QBing so bad they tried to use Josh Freeman briefly.
Browns - Brandon Weeden - nuf said
Raiders - Does anything need to be said about the junk they parade behind center perennially?
Falcons - Only team in this grouping where the QB wasn't the reason they suck, although he did have a down year.
Bucs - Headcase Freeman jettisoned, Mike Glennon over his head
Jags - bahahahahahahaha Blaine Gabbert is awesome.
Bills - undrafted free agent journeyman outperformed first round draft pick

There's your top 9 bottom feeders and outside of the Falcons what's the common denominator? The QBing all was terrible.

It doesn't matter who your supporting cast is if the guy behind center is junk. You dismiss Wilson as just a piece like they could put EJ Manuel or Brandon Weeden behind center and would still win.

    1. Jets: Marcus Mariota QB
    2. Jags: Jameis Winston QB
    3. Browns: Randy Gregory DE
    4. Bills: Amari Cooper WR

Bills win meaningless games Week 16 & 17 knocking them out of the QB Sweepstakes. Typical Bills.

Think he can keep it zipped up and tucked away for another year?
