Do we really need another WR pick in this draft. Could we use it elsewhere?

Just seems to me that if we only have 6 picks in this draft that WR shouldn't be a priority. OT, TE, LB, S, CB, G, RB, DE should all be a higher priority with only 6 picks! Thouhts?

    Ramses Barden WR 28 6-6 224 5 Cal Poly-S.L.O. ?

Getting Mike Williams for a 6th feels like a pretty big steal to me, so I'd be ok with passing on a WR, but if someone drops or the value is really great I could see us still taking one. I certainly wouldn't mind an upgrade over TJ Graham with a bigger WR.

Nope - Bill need a "hybrid" TE

    Opening day line-up:

    Johnson & Williams at wideout
Chandler inline & EE in the slot
EJ & Cj in the backfield
5 other guys on the line

Stevie Johnson isn't anywhere near a real No. 1, Woods, Goodwin and Graham are pretty much still question marks (although I think Woods may be really good, soon) and Williams has issues. The rest are special teamers, never-will-bes, or total unknowns.

I agree that we have other holes to fill (some of our own making), but if a really good WR like Evans is available at 9, I wouldn't feel bad taking him.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

I would not like to see a wr picked at #9. The OL talent doesn't make enough time for whatever qb to reliably toss to the bunch we already have. Hence that hurry-up. Cordy Glenn piled up the stats because other teams didn't bother with him, instead pushing around those 3 cheese balls on the line. Path of least resistance.

    You're benching Woods?

I think they addressed WR with the trade, and won't take one unless somebody falls in their lap that they just can't pass up.

I think Williams & Woods wide with Stevie in the slot will be the primary look.

I agree with the OP & you, unless it is Watkins or Evans, WR is not a need & should not be drafted unless a guy with late first or early 2nd rnd talent falls to the 5th rnd.

I just don't see our receiving corps as elite as some of you do. I think it's a position of need, as is the O-line and a couple of other areas. I would take BPA among our areas of need, and I see Evans at 9 as a better pick than Lewan, the third rated OT in the draft.

Conversely, if Mack should fall to 9 (which he most probably won't), I'd grab him in a heartbeat.

Maybe as a Saturday Pick but certainly not WR in the first 3 rounds, if at all.

Mike Williams was just aquired & is a starter next to SJ, Woods and Goodwin. A 5th WR can come off the current depth chart.

    TE, I could understand.
