    Patriots Announce Jersey Gurantee

The Patriots announced Thursday that they are now offering a jersey rebate if a fan buys a jersey of a player who is no longer under under contract within a year of their purchase.

In the event the player is no longer under contract (for example, is released, traded, retires, signs elsewhere) within one year of the jersey purchase, the customer can purchase a new jersey as described below at a 25% discount with proof of purchase. If the player is still under contract with the Patriots upon expiration of the one-year period, the Guarantee expires.

Does this matter? Would it change your thoughts about buying a jersey at the pro shop? Is 25% significant enough?
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
    It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Well, they have already had to refund jerseys on a player being sent to prison.

        It's a start, but 25% isn't enough when you're paying over $100 for a freaking fancy t-shirt.

No kidding 25%? It's a rare scenario, why not go for the good PR and just swap them for free? Almost there, not quite.

I hate to defend the Patriots here, but, to my knowledge, it's better than what any of the other 31 teams are doing currently...

there must be a loop hole like it has to be a jersey they offer. and they only offer long term contract players and limit the selection.

but if you had a customized jersey, the offer is off the table.

it's a cute marketing gimmick, but i think people continue to buy from chinese websites or buy old players who were good.
