For those not interested in reading the whole article, it also says that this potential purchasing group is also checking out stadium locations in Buffalo.

"All of our work has been about a generic site and whether it was more rural or urban. We are aware of potential sites in the western NY and southern Ontario region, and are in fact meeting with two Buffalo area developers next week...

There's NO VALID reason for them to be checking out ANY locations outside of Western New York. They should be disqualified from the bidding.

The bottom line is all this stadium talk is bullcrap until the new owner actually commits some of his own money to a new stadium in 5-6 years.

It will be a game of chicken with the various levels of government to see how much public money they can get.

Andrew Bergmann, engineer/consultant for the Toronto group: "It's the Buffalo Bills and they will do everything they can to make that work there."

If the Toronto group buys the Bills, they will say they tried but they can't make it work in Buffalo & will move the team in 2020.

Regardless of where the group is from, what if that is true?

What if after raising prices for the next 6 years there are even more black outs?

What if the owner in 6 years simply does not want to put in enough of their own money to build a new stadium?

Isn't the real test of the Bills staying in Buffalo long-term in 6 years and not now?

And Sal Capaccio brought up a good point on WGR today.

The Toronto group just has to make a ridiculous demand for a new Stadium that WNY can't meet.

Then they can say well, we have to move.

It reminded me of the lease St Louis agreed to when the Rams moved there.

They agreed the Rams Stadium had to be in the top 5 of NFL Stadiums or else the Rams would be free to move.

Now the Rams are asking for a ridiculous amount of money to remodel that Stadium with the threat of moving if they don't get their way.
