    Update:

..."Days before the season began they released Devon Still, whose daughter recently was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. But these Bengals aren't those Bengals. When nobody picked up Still, the Bengals re-signed him to their practice squad, keeping him close to his daughter at a local hospital -- and providing him medical benefits to pay for her care.

And now this. The Bengals are selling Devon Still jerseys -- and forwarding every dime to Cincinnati Children's Hospital and pediatric cancer care and research."...

They have become the best-selling B'gals jersey over a 24 hour period:

Today, Still was activated from the practice squad.

That's a great move by the Bengals.

Re: Sad story for an NFL player's daughter

Sean Payton did something pretty cool

    http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/11...nts-talk-first

Devon Still and Sean Payton chatted for the first time Thursday morning on ESPN Radio's "Mike & Mike" show since the New Orleans Saints coach purchased 100 of the Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle's jersey from the team's website, proceeds of which went to pediatric cancer research.

Still's 4-year-old daughter, Leah, is battling Stage 4 neuroblastoma, and his story caught Payton's attention when he heard on the radio that the Bengals were donating proceeds of Still's jersey sales, priced at $100 each, to pediatric cancer research.

Payton bought 100 jerseys last week, sized small and medium, and had them donated to the Pediatric Care Hospital in Cincinnati.

Still said recently that jersey sales had surpassed $500,000.

"I just wanted to thank you for really stepping up to help support this cause," Still told Payton. "I'm pretty sure you know how many families and how many children you're helping out with this. And it's just showing the world how it's not all about how competitive you can be on the field, it's about what you can do to help out humanity. And I really appreciate you doing what you did."
