    Little question. I agree.

Buckeyes are a year or 2 away from true playoff contention. Using a lot of Freshman at many starting positions. Lost way too much after last season.

I'm actually very impressed with the job Urban Meyer is doing. Their most talented players are all 18 & 19. Soph. Joey Bosa may already be the best DE in the country.

Bosa is a boss. You guys have talented kids. The defense should improve the most over the next few years. Hope to see some more battles in the future.

I was hoping for the 8 team playoff but it is what it is. The VT loss was a bad one and they'll never recover enough.

Still, they found out their youth is very real and the future is bright. Barrett should not be benched for Miller next season.

J.T. Barrett now has 38 TD's total (run and pass ). Buckeye record.

A 3rd string redshirt freshman is thrown into the starting lineup one week before the opener and a star is born.

Disappointing performance vs. Indiana today but I still think we're a year away and you see a ton of freshman mistakes still. I can't wait to go to the Michigan game next weekend on my alumni tickets which I'll probably not get that game again for 20 years lol. This could be Brady Hoke's last game as Michigan head coach and hopefully we make it a bad day for him :)

There is no debate with Braxton next year, JT is the guy. He not only has the skill but the head too. I love his interviews on the BTN's shows. This kid doesn't sound like a RS frosh, he sounds like a 10 yr NFL vet in his interviews. He's no Mariota or RGIII but he definitely has the potential to win a national championship.

Pretty good Mich - OSU game 'til the end of the 3rd.

Bad luck for OSU QB Barrett - dislocated ankle and/or broken leg:

It will now be a large task to win the Wisconsin game. Barrett was making the big plays to swing close games that resulted in wins.

Now it's down to the 3rd string QB, Jones. Guy is huge and can run...but the passing game may suffer and the obvious inexperience factor. We'll know in a week.

Hats off to Barrett on having a great year as a freshman who wasn't supposed to play.. His 42 total TD's is a conference record. Buckeyes ID their QB going forward. Braxton Miller should never replace him.

Nice to see Michigan finish 5-7. Go Blew !

Rumor last week was that Braxton Miller may look at transferring to Oregon to replace Mariota next year.

    Terrible news...

An Ohio State University football player who had been missing since Wednesday has been found dead in a dumpster from what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound, Columbus police said Sunday. Authorities said the body of defensive lineman Kosta Karageorge was found at East 6th Avenue and Courtland Avenue near the Ohio State campus. The senior defensive tackle from Columbus had last been seen at his apartment in Columbus, when his roommates said he left to go on a walk.

That is a truly sad way to go if that's how it went down. Climbing into a dumpster to off yourself? Jeez...

Just heard on the local news that he had a history of concussions, the most recent about a month ago, according to his mother.

Re: 2014 Ohio St. Buckeyes Thread

59-0 is a great way to finish... but the only team they could possibly leap now for a playoff spot is TCU, who routed a 2 win team today. Florida St. wins by 2 points but they haven't lost in 2 years and that does count.

So be it. Probably the Cotton Bowl vs Baylor but we'll see. A great year after the Virginia Tech loss and they were built for 2015-16 anyhow with all these Freshman and Sophomores. Great Front 7 on D. The young OL grew together and improved every week. Loaded at the skill positions. Who is deeper at QB ? Miller may be gone to Oregon next year.

Another 12 win year under Urban. The future is bright.

    Go Buckeyes !
