Confused by this post but follow up PET scans are the norm. Especially if Jim is in WNY. Biopsies, as you say are big money but don't think for a minute they are being done to line pockets. Insurance companies would not cover something unwarranted. It's all based on CPT codes.

Kelly said they were worried about cancer in a nerve going to the brain.

If cancer spread to the brain, not much could have been done at that point.

The MRI was not clear so a biopsy was done to make sure that was not the case.

GOOD NEWS the biopsy was negative.
