I'm pretty sure they will have to sell, or there will be eventual tax implications that they can't cover. They're between a rock and a hard place.
From my understanding, had Ralph left the team to Mary Wilson, the tax consequences would have been different, but that's not what he did.
They have been on the market for months. Months. Yet no sale, no firm offer.
Not surprising...Congressmen holding hearings to make political hay about concussions, drugs, chirping about domestic violence now. A community taxed to death already, with a minority wanting to stick it to the other taxpayers for a new stadium, so they can have them pay for their yucks, even though those same will scream bloody murder about PSL costs if a new stadium happens. A city that has been under one party control for over a half a century, and will never change.
Ralph and the contract with the county nailed the team to the floorboards for 7 years to WNY. So there is no incentive to win.
The Bills don't seem to be an attractive asset.
And given the long-standing political machine in Bflo, it's a town that outside capital avoids.

"'Clean up your room.', 'Stand up straight.', 'Pick up your feet.', 'Take it like a man.', 'Be nice to your sister.', 'Don't mix beer and wine, ever.'. Oh yeah, 'Don't drive on the railroad track.'"
"Eh, Phil. That's one I happen to agree with."

Don't be so dramatic, good God. Binding bids are due by the end of this week so you are wrong on firm offers as they aren't due yet. I firmly believe that Pegula will end up with the team. If the bids are close I think the trust will go back to Pegula and advise him to raise his bid in the interest of keeping the team in B-Lo.

in corporate america, the time between an announced deal and the completion of an acquisition can take 6M to 1Y. Ralph died in March. The general information is that the bills are well within the timelines of what was initially proposed. I don't think this is a likely scenario.
The timeline seems to be really fast if nothing else.just because we want a new owner that will fire brandon doesn't mean that this is taking a long time from a real world perspective.

Let's do a public stock offer like the Packers to insure that they never move!
Three weeks ago they were due by Labor Day Weekend according to reports.
So I don't think anyone's being dramatic. If anything this whole thing is being handled like a circus.
It's going to be very interesting after the sale to get some more info as to what the issues were.

"I was an integral part in the drafting process of EJ Manuel," Whaley said Thursday on NFL Network's Total Access. "I was the person that handled the draft process and setting up the board."
"We are committed. I want you to believe me when I say that," Whaley said of building around the second-year quarterback, per The Buffalo News. "I always tell you guys that I'll never say never because I don't want to paint myself in a corner, but when I do say something, I do it and I mean it and I try to fulfill it."
"We believe the addition of Sammy is going to be instant impact, not only to our quarterback, but to what our offensive coordinator can come up with game-plan wise and how defenses attack us," Whaley said.
Whaley on EJ Manuel: "We think we got a gem in this guy." (2:30)
"And as Mark says, if in three years maybe he's not [our quarterback of the future], then I'll be sitting there saying 'hey guys', .... anybody got a job for me?" - Doug Whaley
Why is it always the out of state idiots that keep bringing up negative **** about the sale process of the Buffalo Bills. **** off. EAD.

You do realize that this is like asking, "What if nobody goes to McDonald's tomorrow?"
Somebody is going the buy the burger like the sun will rise tomorrow.
