Anheuser-Busch Sternly Urges NFL to Stop Acting Like Stupid Meatheads

Major NFL sponsor Anheuser-Busch has issued a serious reprimand and warning to the NFL in response to the league's latest ****ery. This is even better if you imagine the puppy from this year's Super Bowl ad bark-dictating the announcement. Trust me.
In a statement released this afternoon, the American libations behemoth owned by even larger Belgian-Brazilian libations behemoth InBev announced,

"We are disappointed and increasingly concerned by the recent incidents that have overshadowed this NFL season. We are not yet satisfied with the league's handling of behaviors that so clearly go against our own company culture and moral code. We have shared our concerns and expectations with the league."

According to USAToday, A-B has three years left on a 6-year, $1.2 billion deal with the NFL. If they pulled their sponsorship, it could be quite the fiscally disastrous ball-flick for Goodell and company.

On top of its visual impact, it takes to task the poor way in which the NFL, and more specifically commissioner Roger Goodell, has addressed the issue of domestic violence. After thousands of tweets and Facebook shares this weekend, the original campaign image was retouched by journalist Adele Stan, to include a black eye and a new message written across the top: “Boycott CoverGirl Official Sponsor of the NFL" until Roger Goodell is gone.” Trending hashtags this weekend included #GoodellMustGo and #BoycotttheNFL.

The Radisson hotel chain announced it is suspending its sponsorship of the Minnesota Vikings because of star running back Adrian Peterson's indictment for child abuse in Texas.
"Radisson takes this matter very seriously, particularly in light of our long-standing commitment to the protection of children," the company statement said. Such holy bull-**** coming from some of these sponsors--you're not going to defeat the NFL. Everybody wants football--it's the greatest sport to watch, gamble on, and be involved in (fantasy sports). If one of the big sponsors do decide to get cute, the NFL should just say **** you and go with less ads for a couple weeks. Remember when that old dyke was mad at The Masters for not letting women in? The sponsors pulled out and they just played anyways--the viewership stayed the same and sponsors realized the fruitlessness of their charade. Some women were admitted a decade later, but sponsors came crawling back to AN the next year.
