Anheuser-Busch Sternly Urges NFL to Stop Acting Like Stupid Meatheads

Anheuser-Busch Sternly Urges NFL to Stop Acting Like Stupid Meatheads

Major NFL sponsor Anheuser-Busch has issued a serious reprimand and warning to the NFL in response to the league's latest ****ery. This is even better if you imagine the puppy from this year's Super Bowl ad bark-dictating the announcement. Trust me.
In a statement released this afternoon, the American libations behemoth owned by even larger Belgian-Brazilian libations behemoth InBev announced,
"We are disappointed and increasingly concerned by the recent incidents that have overshadowed this NFL season. We are not yet satisfied with the league's handling of behaviors that so clearly go against our own company culture and moral code. We have shared our concerns and expectations with the league."
According to USAToday, A-B has three years left on a 6-year, $1.2 billion deal with the NFL. If they pulled their sponsorship, it could be quite the fiscally disastrous ball-flick for Goodell and company.

So, anyway, why Goodell and the NFL need to handle this thing.

oh the irony: a company whose products have led to countless intoxicated people punching their girls and beating their kids is now criticizing the NFL for not punishing people enough for the very behaviors that their products cause.

Is this a joke? Exactly what OP said. This is the last company that should be criticizing the NFL

Anheuser-Busch, Pepsico, McDonald's, Campbell Soup, Visa among sponsors criticizing NFL over Rice, Peterson scandals

In a scathing statement, the maker of Bud Light, the league's official beer, said it was ‘disappointed and increasingly concerned by the recent incidents that have overshadowed this NFL season.’ Anheuser-Busch pays the league about $200 million a year in advertisements. Other companies are also watching how the NFL handles these cases of violence.

The first three on that list should be doing the apologizing for the crap they produce for consumption by the general public.

Yet, I'd be willing to bet that, come Thursday-Monday, the 16 NFL Stadiums hosting games will be serving the same beers that they did last Sunday and the Sunday before that.

Get back to me when any of these companies pull their sponsorships and/or don't allow their products to be used/sold in NFL stadiums.

I bet this company is directly responsible for half or more of Adrian's kids, so look who's talking.

Retouched CoverGirl Ad Calls Out Domestic Violence in NFL

As one of the official sponsors of the NFL, CoverGirl created football-inspired makeup looks for every team, advertised with the slogan “Get Your Game Face On.” This weekend, the purple smoky eye inspired by the Baltimore Ravens got an unfortunate makeover. In the wake of the video revealing the team’s running back Ray Rice violently abusing his then-fiance, an airbrushed version showing the CoverGirl model with a now black and blue eye has gone viral. On top of its visual impact, it takes to task the poor way in which the NFL, and more specifically commissioner Roger Goodell, has addressed the issue of domestic violence. After thousands of tweets and Facebook shares this weekend, the original campaign image was retouched by journalist Adele Stan, to include a black eye and a new message written across the top: “Boycott CoverGirl Official Sponsor of the NFL" until Roger Goodell is gone.” Trending hashtags this weekend included #GoodellMustGo and #BoycotttheNFL.

Three players actions have turned the NFL in to a circus. Thank you, media. **** the game on the field, **** the players donating millions to worthy causes, and an especially huge **** you to the 1,693 other players who suit up on Sunday. Thank you Goodell, for hiding knowing you're wrong rather than fessing up like a man and putting the game you "love" in danger.

Am I annoyed? Can you tell?

NFL sponsors stand by, but Radisson breaks with Vikings

After days of the NFL's top corporate sponsors holding firm through the league's embarrassing and controversial series of news developments, a crack in the support emerged Monday night.
The Radisson hotel chain announced it is suspending its sponsorship of the Minnesota Vikings because of star running back Adrian Peterson's indictment for child abuse in Texas.
"Radisson takes this matter very seriously, particularly in light of our long-standing commitment to the protection of children," the company statement said. "We are closely following the situation and effective immediately, Radisson is suspending its limited sponsorship of the Minnesota Vikings while we evaluate the facts and circumstances."
