Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

Fire Hackett.
yeah, things that killed the bills today
1. PENALTIES. holy crap
2. pass blocking
3. ej - impatient, inaccurate, dumb (safety)

Hackett has actually done a nice job so far, IMO.
You can't ***** about EJ missing open receivers, than also ***** about Hackett's play calling or design, the two just don't mesh.
I would add a PS to the interior of the offensive line, they got blown up all day long.

Without watching film on all 22, strikes me as ej needs to make a decision earlier. Hackett May have called a poor game, but ej seemed to hold the ball too long. Also his Inaccuracy was exposed. He makes 2-3 of those conversions, it's a different game.

i came into the season very critical of hackett but he had them moving effectively in the first two games. they pretty much had to stick to their play action formula until it showed it didnt work, and you cant exactly say it didnt work today bc they did have an enviable down and distance pattern at least the first half
it was pretty much ej crapping the bed when they needed him to be decent or better. and of course the bad team discipline that forced ej into having to make bigger and bigger plays with all the friggen penalties that seemed to wipe out every good play
so much to my own surprise i have to give hackett a reasonably good grade for the first three. better than i expected for sure
agreed. those few plays could have made all the difference. but he was just too bad too often today. yes hes been under the microscope unfairly but today he gave them ammo. he needs to make this an anomaly and turn it around next week. or the crazy orton talk starts to not seem quite as crazy
