    Geno>EJ

After watching the first 3 games. Geno just lets the ball rip.........he has the potential to be a turnover machine but he also has the potential to light up a defense and make plays. I have no confidence at all in EJ being able to sit back and pick apart a defense. EJ is the same player he was in college.......he'll make plays every now then but will go into periodic funks where the offense does absolutely nothing. Being a FSU fan I can tell you this........It can get real frustrating watching EJ at times.........especially that damn spin move and take a sack that he perfected at FSU ugh!

Geno sucks in a different way than EJ does. They both kill their teams so what's the point of another EJ/Geno thread?

Not sold on the comparison, Smith came in "polished" and "ready to start". His stats are still worse than project guy.

    Manuel : http://www.pro-football-reference.co...M/ManuEJ00.htm

And Geno throws another dumb ass INT. Gave the Bears a free TD. Just cost the Jets a shot at a Td.

Wow. How do you hit the punt catcher there? So many NFL players are so stupid.

Didn't like either QB. Nor Glennon. It was a bad draft to "need" a franchise QB. Period. The Bills fail for not being pro-active and waiting until they couldn't put up with Fitzpatrick any more.

The Bills fail by putting up with Fitzpatrick for to long. The fans knew at the end of the 2011 season Fitz wasn't the answer but hey we're not the professionals. We're just stupid fans.

We took our QB 1 year late not 1 year early. Russell Wilson was such a no brainer pick in the 3rd round that year. We'd have our QB and another player where we picked EJ. This FO makes me so angry.

    EJ vs Chicago +1

Geno Smith vs Chicago -1 (difference in the game being a pick 6)

    Re: Geno>EJ

I do think that EJ is more conservative with the ball and perhaps that's why he has had made less mistakes than Geno. Geno seems to not concern himself so much and just slings the ball. Either way the comparison is stupid. Neither one has done any thing stellar.

    Re: Geno>EJ

They both are subpar at this point in their careers but at least EJ isn't actively losing us games. A good comparison for EJ is early career Steve Mcnair. Another very raw guy who was given very vanilla and conservative gameplans for his first 5-6 years in the league who eventually developed into a good overall quarterback in his 6th or 7th season. I see a similar arc for EJ if we are patient and rely on our defense and running game.

Also, there's really no point in even thinking about a replacement until we have a first round pick in 2016. And the scrap heap or marginal veteran FA route rarely, if ever, works out for teams. Just look at a team like Kansas City who set themselves back by 3-4 years with the Alex Smith signing (or see Bledsoe with Bills).

It's like comparing broken bones. What a load.

Geno just completed his 9th game already with at least 2 INT's. With the game on the line, he fails.

    He'll be replaced soon.

Jets 1-6 last night in the Red Zone. Yeah...sign me up for Geno Failure. I'm not sure about Manual at all but this was a better alternative ? Good God.

The biggest issue with Manuel right now is that he's too conservative.

Just love how they focused the camera on Rex shaking his head every time Geno Smith made a mistake.
