All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

Ho Hum.. Another 4 point night for McDavid 2 goals and 2 assists against Kitchener in a 8-3 win.. The announcers are right on McDavids 2nd goal he makes it look too easy and simple his skating is unreal..His draft stock is definitely not going down after 5 games he is at a 3.2 pts per game pace which arguably he is bettering expectations
Eichel will be the best No.2 overall since Malkin... Doughty..Seguin..and Barkov are great No.2s Eichel is slightly better than those 3 as a prospect.. And IMO Eichel is better than every No.1 since Tavares except for Nathan MacKinnon.. Eichel and MacKinnon are even in IMO
I think Islanders may of done enough to make playoffs and a first round exit.
The odds of McDavid are not in Sabres favor so I am trying not to get too hyped up for landing him. I am more interested in Eichel at this point since landing him is more realistic.
BTW, the latest CHL rankings have Erie at #5. Sault Ste. Marie is #3. (Having seen the Greyhounds twice on my OHL roadie recently, let me say...they EARNED that ranking. They kicked the hell out of Saginaw and out-dueled Sudbury.) Don't be surprised, though, to see Erie move up a notch for next week.
John Hemingway(facing certain death): I want to see Buffalo win the Super Bowl.
David Coltrane(threatening John): Nobody's going to live that long, pal.

Everyone is kicking the **** out of Saginaw right now. Rebuild year.
3-3-1 through seven games is NOT what I'd call kicking the hell out of Saginaw.
Now, Niagara...THEY'RE getting their teeth kicked in night in and night out. Still looking for their first win 6 games into the season.(To be fair, they're dealing with injuries, most notably to Brendan Perlini.)
And as for this week's rankings when it comes to OHL teams: Erie moves up to #4, the Soo to #2, and Belleville is #8. (Oshawa gets a honorable mention.)

their record is not indicative of what they are trying to do. patterson is on the market as well.
2 assists last night for Connor in a 3-2 win over Sudbury and a goal and 2 assists for Connor tonight in a 6-2 win against London..
Before the start of the season some of Connor detractors thought after Connor Brown, Andre burakovsky and Dane Fox graduated McDavid wouldn't have much talent too play with and questioned if Connor could elevate his game and that of his inexperienced linemate Alex Debrincat.. And so far Connor has done all his detractors thought he couldn't do.. His PPG is up considerably more from last year and his Otters are just as good as they were last year and are currently the best team in the OHL
Which is what a once a decade/generational player does
Former Sabre Jay McKee who is the Erie Otters Assistant Coach
"He is a generational player he will be just as good as as Sidney Crosby" " What I like most about Connor is he is very humble" " Players take a extra 2 or 3 strides to try and hit him..He sees these hits coming his skating and vision prepares him for this"
One thing that McKee goes on and on about is McDavids skating.. It is his best assets and he does it better than anyone else..
McKee says the Otters have 11 rookies on the team this year which is a marked difference from last year where Erie had a more experienced team..Has not mattered at all MCDavid is carrying this team on his back and so has Dylan Strome the Otters have not lost a game yet in regulation so far
No way we end up with him... it's just not Buffalo luck.
but damn... it would be cool.
Oh we won't get him but it has nothing to do with luck. The NHL will rig it so he goes to some struggling market to try to save the franchise, just like how FL got the #1 pick last year and Pitt got Malkin and Crosby.
Speaking of Florida getting the No.1 pick Ekblad has looked really damn good so far.. Playing 20 minutes a night with Brian Campbell and Panthers fans are thrilled with how good he has looked for a rookie
