Ooooops! He only played 23 games. That translates to 115 points over a full 68-game Q schedule.
I don't know about now, but back in the day, the Q was always known as a scoring league, bloated if you want. You could never compare it to the OHL head-to-head. The rule of thumb was usually take off a third from Q scoring.
In '99-00, Brad Richards led the league with 186 points. 186! That's nice, but then he is an elite player and had a few 90+ pt NHL seasons though typically more like 70. What about the others leaders? Despite scoring well into the 100s, most never even made it to the NHL. Only one had so much as 10+ career points.
Compare that to the OHL for the same year. The top 12 ranged from 87 to 121 points and several had decent careers in the NHL: Cheechoo, Derek Roy, Taylor Pyatt, Raffi Torres.
