Last two years were primarily dismantling the team for assets. Now they are inserting the assets into spots.

It was good to see Lehner get a really good game under his belt. The Sabres invested a lot in him. Biggest save of the game though was by Weber. Still, how Lehner doesn't get one of the three stars is anyone's guess. He even had a helper on Eichel's first.
The Sabres hung Lehner out to dry in the third period. Early goal and then they sat on the lead for 18 minutes. Outshot 22-1 over that span. Effing ridiculous. That ain't gonna fly against the Habs after the break.
Nice hustle by Kane on his goal.
The finish was glorious. Abso-effing-lutely glorious.
I was a doubter in the Lehner trade and it's still early obvious but I thought he's played at least above average to very good in all of his starts since coming back. If he pans out that goes a long way towards becoming a contender.

Great 3rd period.
Didn't get to see but I heard about half of it on SXM in my car. Sounds like it was a strong effort for the most part. Habs are slumping but a road win against a div rival in a tough Canadian venue is always a good outcome.
Another solid game for lehner.
