All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
He just needs one guard that can pull. One guard opens up so many more run options.
Right now he can go off tackle. That's it. With a good pulling guard, he can go off tackle (with or without the pulling guard), he can hit either guard's gap or hi can follow the guard to the right (inside or outside the tackle). Plus with all those options the defense starts flowing in one direction which opens up the cutback game for him. He doesn't need the entire line to be small and agile, he just needs one guard capable of pulling.
A few WRs capable of setting up the screen wouldn't hurt either.
And needing a pulling guard is why letting Levitre walk without a real fight was such a dumbass move.
Getting the ball outside of the tackles has so much more involved than simply one guy that can pull. Who pulled on Spiller's big run this past Sunday? Instead of a 50+ yard gain, how many yards would the run have lost if the guard had vacated his spot to pull?
