All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
former Sabres goalie Marty Biron on Hockey Hotline this morning...talks about Wideman and breaks down the rules in the rulebook he really knows his stuff
The Toronto Maple Leafs traded captain Dion Phaneuf to the Ottawa Senators on Tuesday as part of a nine-player trade.
The Senators receive Phaneuf, forwards Matt Frattin, Casey Bailey and Ryan Rupert, and defenseman Cody Donaghey for defenseman Jared Cowen and forwards Milan Michalek, Colin Greening and Tobias Lindberg, along with Ottawa's second-round pick in the 2017 NHL Draft. Neither team will retain salary in the trade.
Phaneuf, 30, has three goals and 24 points in 51 games this season. He has been with the Maple Leafs since he was acquired from the Calgary Flames on Jan. 31, 2010 as part of a seven-player trade.
‘Big Buff’ can fish and hunt to his heart’s content in Manitoba. The defenceman will call Winnipeg home at least for the next five years. Dustin Byfuglien signed a five-year, $38-million contract extension with the Jets on Monday afternoon after talks heated up over the weekend.
Always liked buffy. Wonder where Ladd will end up.
Or if we can get anything worth while as his production slips further and further behind last years pace. I think a team looking for grit/leadership at the deadline will be happy to give us something for a 2 time cup winner. At least I hope.

You'll get plenty for him. The next 3 weeks will play out fun.

Well then I hope it's to Buffalo because we do get plenty from you guys lol. In all seriousness, I hope we do but I don't like to see him go. You need guys like him to win.
the Leafs didn't dump talent in an effort to finish last. They dumped a poor leader with an incredibly bad contract.
dumping him to ensure they have the best chance to draft Matthews isn't even part of this for them.
More fickle than a teenaged girl.
Again, murray dumped expiring contracts and aging players for assets. Not exactly a new trend. But let's display faux outrage over it now cause you have a tim murray obsession.
