oh haha, I thought you were. My bad. That was a sweet goal on the wrap around though. Not too many guys would go from right in front all the way around to get a better scoring chance.

I'm a big eichel can though. He's gonna be special. As it stands though, Sabres won't get him unless things change dramatically

Jack Eichel update.. Still leads the NCAA in points 43 and PPG 1.72... Eichel and Dylan Larkin are the only 2 freshmen in the top 20 in points

Eichel and Kane will be playing together next year.

That is a lot of size and speed.

What im interested to see is if they put Eichel at center or wing.

Can somebody help me? I'm not quite getting this whole..."oh we draft him (Eichel or McDavid)and next year we'll have a much better team" theory. I know I've heard the next Gretzky....next Crosby....but I guess I'm just trying to be a realist and say there's no guarantee. Are either one of these guys smashing...and I do mean smashing records in their leagues that make everyone believe they are the next "One"?

They could both be very good players, for years.....but they could also take time to develop into pro-level, or they could just be very good.....and not.......the "One".

                      I'm just asking. *shrug*

McDavids 2.56 PPG is historic... Mcdavids 2.56 PPG is the highest in the last 20 years in the OHL.. The 2 closest to McDavid were Patrick Kane 2.5PPG in 2006-2007 and Robby Schrempf 2.54 in 2005-2006.. The OHL goes through ebbs and flows over time where scoring is higher than in other eras and it looks like now the scoring is higher compared to 4 or 5 years ago.. Still for Mcdavid to be O.56 PPG higher than Mitchell Marner who is at 2PPG is a huge and historic differential

Jack Eichels PPG 1.72 Is the 3rd highest in the last 10 years in he NCAA.. And the Eichel is a freshman the 2 players who had higher PPGs one was a senior the other a junior

So yes McDavid is a "once a decade prospect" and if Mcdavid didn't exist Eichel along with Nathan MacKinnon and John Tavares would be 3 of the best prospects in the last 7 years

Spiked knows this and is terrified by the sabres getting a uber talented player hence his hourly rants on here and everywhere else he is complaining it absolutely sickens him the Sabres are trying to set themselves up to get a once a decade player

Well the only players who have been on the OHL exceptional status list allowing them to play in the OHL at 15 were Tavares, Ekblad and McDavid. Pretty good company.

Also in any other year, Eichel is #1.

Yes but wasn't ready for the draft which is why I left him off. Not sure he will live up to the billing of the other 3.
