I like Eichel but he is playing against inferior competition. He should be crushing these guys. McDavid has 51 pts in 18 games in the O. I still think he is easily the 2nd best player in the draft though and any team would be happy to have him.

I think the level of play in the WJC is higher then juniors or the NCAA.

I'm a big eichel can though. He's gonna be special. As it stands though, Sabres won't get him unless things change dramatically

Can somebody help me? I'm not quite getting this whole..."oh we draft him (Eichel or McDavid)and next year we'll have a much better team" theory. I know I've heard the next Gretzky....next Crosby....but I guess I'm just trying to be a realist and say there's no guarantee. Are either one of these guys smashing...and I do mean smashing records in their leagues that make everyone believe they are the next "One"?

They could both be very good players, for years.....but they could also take time to develop into pro-level, or they could just be very good.....and not.......the "One".

I'm just asking. *shrug*
