If 6 Feet of Snow Can Fall On Cheektowaga, The Bills Can Make The Playoffs

    Chances are as slim, right?

About as likely as Vladimir Putin taking a dump on my front porch.

    Who'd of thought?

    "It'll never happen."

    It just did.

    Anything can happen.

If anything, the chances of a storm the size of which just hit WNY is less than the Bills making the playoffs.

Not a snowballs chance in hell, right?

You'll never know until it really happens.

It's 100%, perfectly impossible. not a chance. The probability of the storm that just hit, happening again next week, is even higher than the Bills making the playoffs.
My faith doesn’t make me perfect, it makes me forgiven.

The snow didn't have to face GB, NE & Den.

Well...I got to hand it to BillsImpossible. I've never seen such blind optimism. You certainly have your name right.

The problem with potential playoff scenarios for the Bills: all of them require the Bills to win.

We couldn't beat the Chiefs, who proceeded to lose to the 0-10 Raiders.

Enough said, without even mentioning the choke job against the Fish.

It's a protection mechanism.

You shroud your childish approach in a vale of pompous, intellectual garbage in an attempt to look smart and "real". You over-analyze even minute points and manipulate statistics to fit your negative view of the team. Again, to feel good about yourself and to protect from getting hurt.

Of course, the criticisms are obviously from someone who has no understanding of the team concept or what it takes to excel at athletics.

The true "realist" understands that they have no control of what happens on the field or behind the closed doors at One Bills' Drive, so they do the prudent thing for a spectator. They enjoy the games on Sunday with family and friends, cheer for their team and realize that it's just entertainment.

"I was an integral part in the drafting process of EJ Manuel," Whaley said Thursday on NFL Network's Total Access. "I was the person that handled the draft process and setting up the board."

"We are committed. I want you to believe me when I say that," Whaley said of building around the second-year quarterback, per The Buffalo News. "I always tell you guys that I'll never say never because I don't want to paint myself in a corner, but when I do say something, I do it and I mean it and I try to fulfill it."

"We believe the addition of Sammy is going to be instant impact, not only to our quarterback, but to what our offensive coordinator can come up with game-plan wise and how defenses attack us," Whaley said.

Whaley on EJ Manuel: "We think we got a gem in this guy." (2:30)

"And as Mark says, if in three years maybe he's not [our quarterback of the future], then I'll be sitting there saying 'hey guys', .... anybody got a job for me?" - Doug Whaley

The loss itself certainly is meaningful, but the attempt at any correlation is not.

Yeah, that Chiefs loss was as close to a perfect storm of trap game as you can have: A road game, on short rest, vs. an intense division rival, in a rainstorm, in primetime (the home team's only primetime game), sandwiched between two games against both defending conference champions.

Seriously, I'm finding it hard to imagine a scenario more ripe for an upset.

Almost 7 feet fell in 2001. No playoffs.

Guess what? In 2014 there will be no playoffs either.

I'm really surprised that nobody has made a joke about how the Bills are "six-feet under."

I'll take full credit for it.

The correlation is that the Chiefs are a very beatable team, and not nearly as good as the teams coming up on our schedule.
I reiterate: if the Bills can't beat the Chiefs or Fish, there is no reason to believe they can beat the Packers, Broncos or Pats.
