I was debating it. Fred Smerlas invited me to his tailgate, so I was considering it. The weather and the teams status at that point will both play into my decision.
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

I had tickets and Fred invited me to their tailgate party but I am passing. It's not worth the heckling and torture that watching this game will be.
There's a Boston Bills Backers Group not sure where they're meeting up though.

Had a great time in great seats. Pats fans are very nice too.
Sure they are when the game means nothing to them. The ones I've met are spoiled babies
amen to that. I live in the area and goto most bills pats games. Pats fans are the worst...new englanders are rude as is...but these bunch of fans are so uneducated about the game and team and just say things to stir up fights.
