2015 WJC pretournament exhibition games

Russia beat Canada tonight 2-1 in OT to in Canadas 1st of 3 pretourney games.. Canada outshot Russia 53 -20 and dominated Russia all game.. Connor Mcdavid and Curtis Lazar did not play...The best line for Canada was the Duclair-Reinhart-Domi line.. Domi was Canadas best player showing great speed. Duclair was impressive as well and showed good chemistry with Domi..Reinhart was OK nothing really stood out other than watching him play I wish he had more foot speed and I hope he can improve on that..

It was said at the Canada Selection camp Zach Fucale hasn't played that well in juniors this season and didn't deserve to be selected and was given a spot based on reputation and tonight he let in 2 shaky goals.. I don't have a lot of confidence in him right now and have not been impressed with him going back to last years WJC

The Russian goalie Ilya Sorokin was fantastic he was drafted by the Isles in 2014 in the 3rd round 78th overall( Tim Murray passed on Sorokin and took a goalie Johannsen? 61st overall in 2014)

USA beat Boston University 5-2 as Jack Eichel had 1 goal for USA agasint his college team and JT Compher had 1 goal

5-2 win for Canada tonight over Sweden.. Sam Reinhart wasn't very noticeable in this game until the 3rd period when he scored Canadas 5th goal on a power play. A nice give and go with Max Domi...Connor Mcdavid was rusty to start but got better as the game went along showing great explosion thru the neural zone and setting up Shea Theodore on Canadas 4th goal Id say Canadas 3 best forwards were McDavid..Domi and Duclair..

USA beat Germany tonight in exhibition play 5-2..JT Compher scored USAs 1st goal and Hudson Fasching had a assist on USAs 2nd goal

Sam Reinhart and Connor Mcdavid each had 1 assist as Canada beat Switzerland 6-0.. Max Domi with a hat trick and Anthony Duclair had 3 assists..

USA beats Sweden 10-5..JT Compher scored USas 1st goal and Hudson fasching had a assist on USAs 8th goal.... Jack Eichel had zero points
